These terms govern your use of manaakiart.org.nz, operated by [Manaaki Art legal entity name] (NZBN [NZBN]) (“Manaaki Art”, “we”, “us”). By using the site you accept these terms.

Demonstration store. Manaaki Art is currently presented as a demonstration. The checkout is simulated — no payment is taken and no order is fulfilled. The sale terms below describe how purchasing will work once real transactions are enabled.

1. The marketplace

Manaaki Art is a curated marketplace for original artworks by New Zealand artists. We act as the artist's agent: each work is sold by the artist, and we facilitate the listing, sale and delivery. A share of each sale may be donated to the artist's chosen charity, as shown on the work.

2. Your account

You're responsible for keeping your login secure and for activity under your account. You must give accurate details and verify your email. We may suspend accounts that breach these terms.

3. Artworks, pricing & GST

Each work is an original, one-of-a-kind piece and is described as accurately as we can. Prices are in New Zealand dollars. [If GST registered: prices include GST; our GST number is [GST number].] We aim for accuracy but may correct errors in price or description.

4. Orders & delivery

When real sales are enabled, your order is an offer to buy the work from the artist; a sale completes when confirmed. We ship within Aotearoa New Zealand, with works packed professionally and sent with a certificate of authenticity. Risk and title pass as set out at checkout.

6. Consumer rights

Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and Fair Trading Act 1986 where they apply. Works must match their description and be of acceptable quality.

7. Reviews & conduct

Reviews must be honest and your own. Don't post unlawful, misleading or offensive content, attempt to manipulate ratings, or interfere with the site. We curate the gallery and may moderate or remove content.

8. Intellectual property

Artists retain copyright in their works and images. The Manaaki Art name, brand and site content may not be copied or used without our permission.

9. Liability

To the extent permitted by law (and without limiting your consumer-law rights), the site is provided “as is”, and we aren't liable for indirect or consequential loss or for interruptions to the service.

10. Governing law & changes

These terms are governed by New Zealand law, and the New Zealand courts have non-exclusive jurisdiction. We may update these terms; the “last updated” date shows when. Questions: [email protected].
